I love reading too - I think people who don't read or don't like reading are missing out. You learn a lot when you read. Really? I never felt like I was missing out on something. I don't like reading 'cause I can't concentrate on it. I used to read when I was a kid, but I just lost interest. If I do read a book these days then it's usually a kid's book. It's kind of a family thing, my sister and dad don't read books either.

Do you watch a lot of TV, like documentarys and things? I don't know, I feel like I'm inspired by some of the books I read, and my vocab has definitely increased after I read. Good stress reliever, too. I probably generalised the reading thing. People find other ways to learn things, I guess! Oh while we're on the topic, have you read all the Harry Potter books? I'm curious, that's all.

^ No, I don't watch a lot of TV and certainly not documentaries. Music is my passion. I couldn't live without it! Oh and the internet shouldn't be underestimated as a learning source. I find it funny when people say that reading is relaxing. I get nervous from it. I always end up reading the same line over and over. Annoying! I do however for some reason find dictionaries and atlases very interesting. Yes, I've read all the Harry Potter books. 1->5 in Dutch. 2, 5 & 6 in English.

^ Ah, yes, the atlas. I love geography, so that's definitely one of my faves! Yeah, sometimes when I'm disinterested in the book, I tend to read the line over and over... hmm. I wish I could speak a language other than English fluently - I learnt German in primary school and a bit in high school, but not enough to just go over there and speak to somebody! You're lucky Yeah, I forgot about the internet (what a surprise!) - it's quite useful, if you know where to go. I love music, too. I don't think ANYONE could live without it!

YES YES YES! ive read all of the hp collection i totally understand about the reading bit, i learn more by visuals so i have to draw diagrams for my science subjects and create some sort of shortcut. reading alone can be boring but its great to spend some leisure time i feel as if im in another world thats why its a pity when i hear people say reading it boring.

I know I agree with you up there. I read all the time, when im on the train, in the bus, in bed (bad for your eyes), in the toilet, in the shower....everywhere !
i learn fine just by reading but visuals help. i heard its also a good help if you have some sort of perfume or a smell when youre studying for exams. it works for me,. i simply spray some on me and remember what i learnt that night. just a tip

I have enough imagination to come up with my own stories. Too bad I don't have any writing talent so I can write them down.

^ Remember that play we thought up like over a year ago Suzan? I still need to write that! You'll have to help me think of cool character names, etc.

^ aww you're both selling yourself short! As long as you're enjoying writing, and other people enjoy reading your writing, then it means you're doing something right Even if you think you're not a very good writer, write to get things off your chest. It's a big stress reliever, I find, because I write myself into my characters. I write fanfiction not only because I'm generally a good writer, but because it's FUN. I can escape the everyday world and just... write. When I was younger I wrote and illustrated little "books". You know, five pages stapled together. It was just something I've always loved doing.

I do the same, except in the shower... lol!! sometimes I read a book or a magazine, like Reader's Digest, but sometimes the underground are sooo full than I prefer leave the book... and like Suzan, I can't live without music!!! my speciality: mixed music with reading or music and knit

Even if you think you're not a very good writer, write to get things off your chest. It's a big stress reliever, I find, because I write myself into my characters. Seriously man, I can't write at all. And just like reading it frustrates me. In this case because I can never think of the right words to describe things. If I try to write something down, it just gets messed up and it totally isn't like it is in my mind. So I think it is best that my stories stay where they are. Strange thing is that my mum told me that when I was at primary school teachers told her that I write good stories and that I should become a journalist. Haha, funny how things change.

Yeah, I was recommended to be a journalist, funnily enough, but I'm waaaay to shy and reserved to be one.
I'm curious, what hobbies do you have? Maybe I assume everyone writes and reads because I'm so used to it.
Well, you've been to Italy - do you like travelling? I love travelling. I've been to the main capitals of Australia and out in the bush etc. I've been to England twice, too. I love England - it's beautiful. First time we went to England we went to Wales, but I was only five so I don't remember much.

My hobbies are listening to music, singing and doing things on the computer like internetting, making graphics and websites, playing games,.... Lately I've been playing The Sims 2 a lot. I also watch TV, but not that much. Well, you've been to Italy - do you like travelling? I don't really like travelling actually. It's nice to see things, but I hate sitting in the car or train for hours and I don't like planes.
